Blood Song (82) - Frankie Avalon, Donna Wilkes, Richard Jaeckel, Antoinette Bower. Frankie Avalon as an ax murdering psycho! After escaping from a mental hospital, Frankie hits the road and goes on a murder spree. At the same time, a teenage girl (Donna Wilkes from Angel) is having dreams about a killer. She believes the dreams are reality and tries to convince people to take her seriously. Avalon is great as the flute playing maniac, think of it as beach blanket bludgeoning! (B)

The Crawling Hand (63) - Peter Breck, Alan 'The Skipper' Hale Jr., Kent Taylor, Tristram Coffin, Allison Hayes, Rod Lauren. An astronaut is blown up in space and his hand lands back on earth. A teenager finds the hand and it possesses his mind with it's murderous plans (when it isn't strangling people on it's own, Evil Dead 2 style!). You have to 'hand' it to the writers for coming up with this stuff. (B) $5

Day Of The Triffids (62) - Howard Keel, Nicole Maurey, Kieron Moore, Janette Scott. After a meteor shower hits earth, most of the population is blinded. The meteor shower also turned plants into walking, man eating monsters! It's up to Howard Keel to figure out a way to stop the Triffids and save what's left of humanity. Letterbox. (A)

Embryo (76) - Rock Hudson, Barbara Carrera, Diane Ladd, Roddy McDowall. Hudson plays a Doctor who is involved with genetic experiments speeding up the growth process. The baby grows at a highly accelerated rate and turns into a grown woman (the beautiful Barbara Carrera) with a genius IQ in the span of a few days. The good Doctor makes the mistake of falling in love with his creation but she is still aging quickly. Soon she is bumping off people in hopes of saving her own life. (C)

L'Amante Del Demonio (72) - Rosalba Neri, Edmund Purdom, Robert Woods. Spartaco Conversi. Note: In Italian, no English subtitles. Rosalba and two of her friends show up at a castle to stay overnight. She wakes up at night hearing voices, finds an old painting on the wall that looks like her, and passes out. When she awakens, she finds herself in a field during Medieval times. She runs into her two friends, and not long after her friends are kidnapped by two masked men in robes. The friends are taken to a cave and are bit by vampire women, turning them into the walking dead. And then things get worse from there. Ms. Neri looks stunningly beautiful so that's reason enough to see it! (C+)

The Last Shark (81) - James Franciscus, Vic Morrow, Timothy Brent (Giancarlo Prete), Stefania Girolami, directed by Enzo Castellari. Here is Enzo Castellari's 'Jaws' inspired killer shark movie. Mr. Castellari always delivers with the action and entertainment, and he doesn't disappoint here. Lots of shark chomping (one poor guy gets bit in half!) and the shark even bites a hellicopter out of the sky! Meanwhile, James Franciscus and Vic Morrow do their best to stop the shark from terrorizing the coastline. Letterboxed. (B-C+)

Malenka aka The Niece Of The Vampire/Fangs Of The Living Dead (69) - Anita Ekberg, Diana Lorys, Julian Ugarte, Paul Muller, Rosanna Yanni, directed by Amando de Ossorio. Ray Lovelock plays a man who happens onto three beautiful women living in a house in the forest. He is drawn in by the women and sticks around, but things aren't as they seem. (C+ has some small twitching sometimes)

Giallo style Horror about an actor and his friends taking a visit to his Mother's old estate in the country. Once there, people start getting bumped off. Supernatural elements and nightmarish scenes set this apart from the average slasher. (B+)

Paul Naschy is back as Werewolf Waldemar Daninsky, this time he's on an expedition in Tibet looking for a Bigfoot/Abominable Snowman monster.
